Refund Policy
What can and cannot be refunded. Today the honest answer is that nothing is charged — this page exists so the policy is written before money changes hands.
Written by the people who build SlabScore, to describe what it actually does. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer and nothing on this page is in force. Where a fact is missing it is marked to be supplied rather than guessed — a confidently wrong term is worse than a visible gap.
Drafted 29 July 2026. No effective date — these take effect when they have been reviewed and the app is serving people.
1. Today there is nothing to refund
SlabScore does not charge for anything. There is no subscription, no paid plan, no one-off purchase and no trial, and the app never asks for a payment method. Nothing has been billed to you, so there is nothing to refund.
This page exists anyway because a refund policy written after the first dispute is written under pressure. Writing it while nothing is at stake is the point.
2. We never take money for grading
The grading fees the app calculates are paid by you to the grading company. They do not pass through Dead Center Studios LLC at any point, and we take no commission on them.
We do not take custody of cards, do not ship them, do not insure them and are not party to your submission. If a card is lost or damaged, comes back at a grade you did not expect, or a grading company charges you more than the app estimated, that is between you and them, under their terms. We can neither refund it nor claim it back for you.
3. An estimate being wrong is not a refundable event
A verdict that recommends grading is not a promise of value, a promise of a grade or a promise of a sale. The app never predicts what grade a card will receive — you state the grade, and it answers at that grade. Prices are past sales and can move; fee tables are external and drift.
The principle survives into whatever gets charged for later: a paid tier would be payment for the tool, not for an outcome. You would be paying for the working being shown, not for the market agreeing with it.
4. The Basic plan
Basic is billed monthly through Stripe. Your first charge is refunded in full on request within 30 days of the payment. Renewals are not refunded: cancel any time from Settings and the plan runs to the end of the month you paid for, with nothing prorated and nothing charged again.
If you are in the UK or the EU, your right to withdraw from a digital service within 14 days sits inside that 30-day window and is honoured by the same refund. To ask for one, email admin@slabscore.io from the address on the account; the refund goes back to the card you paid with, usually within ten business days of our reply. If you dispute a charge with your card issuer instead of asking us, we answer the dispute with the account’s usage record, and the plan ends.
